Welcome to The Cipher Journal. This policy explains the very limited way that data is used on this site.

Data

The Cipher Journal does not have user accounts, newsletters, or contact forms. The only data processed is via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to help provide insights into site traffic. This includes:

1. Pages visited and time spent on the site.
2. Approximate location (City/Country level).
3. Device type and browser information.

Cookies

Cookies are used cookies only to distinguish unique users. No tracking cookies are placed when you first arrive. Google Consent Mode v2 is used. Tracking is only enabled if the user explicitly clicks "Accept All" or "Analytics" on the cookie banner.

Third-Party Data Sharing

Your data is not sold, traded, or otherwise transfered to outside parties. Data is processed by Google solely for the purpose of providing analytics reports.

You have the right to withdraw consent at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings icon/badge at the bottom of the screen. You have the right to set your browser to "Do Not Track" (DNT), which The Cipher Journal respects by default.
